Beating Pancreatitis

Beating Pancreatitis is vastly different than other pancreatitis blogs. Are you searching for information about how to heal your pancreas from acute and/or chronic pancreatitis? You've found the right site because I actually share the information the LORD gave to me and/or helped me find through research and testing everything on myself, as a guinea pig.

I discovered how to heal my pancreas and live pain free. I'm beating pancreatitis (acute and chronic) with diet and certain supplements that eliminate the inflammation and help healing begin. I am sharing exactly what I do for FREE so that you too can begin Beating Pancreatitis.

When I originally started this blog the url and name was Living With Pancreatitis. Then I changed the name to Overcoming Pancreatitis, Then I started a new site I called Beating Pancreatitis. It became quite successful until my hosting company shut me down, without my knowledge, because too many people were visiting daily. In order to get my site back up I had to pay twice what I was paying and frankly I got tired of paying $500/yr to give out free information with basically zero income. Now I've again decided to use this old blogger dot com site with the name changed to Beating Pancreatitis. Unfortunately ...

When I downloaded my site thinking I could import my 107 posts and 22 pages of information plus 6282 comments also containing info from the paid site to this free site, well, that didn't work. That's a huge loss because there was a ton of good info not on this site. AND I don't know if I can resurrect it but ...

So far that doesn't look to promising. Years of work down the drain but this site still has a lot of good information about beating pancreatitis and I'll add more as time allows. Anyway ...

I promised God and the people He sent to the sites, He told me to build, that I'd never try to make money off of those who were sick that He sent to me. So all information that is on this site, or ever will be, is free of charge, no cost to you.

This Old Site Will Be Rebuilt As Beating Pancreatitis

I'll go back through old posts, repurpose them, make them new and fresh with updated information

yet the posts I've read so far on this old site are still relevant today but the information needs to be updated and I'll do that.

For example in 2009 I found out I was a celiac. I knew what celiac disease, once known as sprue, was but I decided to research it. Turns out that undiagnosed and untreated celiac disease can manifest as recurrent acute pancreatitis. This actually makes much more sense than what I previously thought to be my original cause, the football injury I stated as the probable cause in "my story", due to the constant and recurrent acute pancreatitis I suffered for around 3 years between 1979-1982. Therefore ...

I now believe that going "gluten free" was instramental in helping my pancreas stay healed and that is why knowing the original cause of your pancreatitis may be helpful. I also believe that my diet protocol, supplements and total fasting (3-12 days) during times of illness, were ALL beneficial in helping me heal and become pain free because ...

I was pain free years before 2009. And I only suffered set backs when I cheated on my diet. Yes, at times I cheated. I am only human, and of course not knowing then that I was a celiac, I also ate foods containing gluten, which likely didn't help me any. This may also be more evidence pointing to how important fasting, diet, and supplements are in healing and protecting the pancreas. At least in my particular case.

I also believe that the fasting helped reset and regenerate my adult stem cells. At least that is what my research tells me. I found that very interesting to say the least. God had a plan. I'm not sure what that was or is but Jeremiah 29:11 tells me He had a plan and Isaiah 54:17 tells me "that no weapon formed against me shall prosper." So, He showed me how to defeat my enemy with fasting (later learning that this reset and regenerated my adult sttem cells), cleansing, formulating my own pancreatitis diet, and learning about specific supplements that kill inflammation in order to heal. He also led me to grapefruit juice which I'm sure is the reason my recurrent acute pancreatitis attacks resolved because at that time I didn't know I was a celiac, which means I was still eating tons of gluten.

I also have a Facebook support group called Beating Pancreatitis Support Group, catchy title right? 🤣🤣 You can check out the group here

I'm not a big fan of support groups. Most are comprised of the sick leading the sick which simply isn't effective. And to be totally honest my group is really no different except that I'm the admin, I'm healed and 98-99% of the time pain free. And I and my moderators determine what can and can't be posted so, in that regard it may be somewhat different however ...

I can NOT say that my group is the best nor the largest on Facebook. The membership bounces back and forth between 3700 and 3800 while other groups are 3-4 times that size and I also can NOT say that my members are all well, enjoying a pain free life because ...

Most people in the group don't listen to what I share so they're still sick. People don't learn. They keep doing the same things over and over expecting different results. Einstein said that's insanity, yet I understand. Truth is it's difficult to do what I do, especially in a family setting.

I'm not cured but I am healed and have with diet, supplements and by the grace of God become pain free for years not just a day, week or month ... YEARS ... of what can be termed only as remission because there is no conventional cure for chronic pancreatitis, but God can do anything for it is written:

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27

There is also another member of my support group who found me via my site years ago and we conversed about healing her pancreas and it turned out she too is a Jesus follower and her dad, IF I recall correctly was a preacher so Candice is a PK (preacher's kid) and a daughter of the KING. At that time she was really sick and even losing her faith but I think she was sent to me by her Father and mine in order that I could help renew her faith and teach her what the LORD God Almighty showed me to heal.

She did what I did yet also started doing her own research and she added her own twists, making her own way to beating pancreatitis. Then, after a very difficult struggle with pancreatitis and C.Diff, she healed. She then began to study "functional medicine" in South Africa and became a certified Functional Medicine doctor. She is a volunteer moderator in the group and a very valuable asset with a ton of knowledge.

Another lady, in the group, also a moderator, who is well versed in pancreatitis and diet is Hazel Block. She is always there, with a smile and kind word, ready to help people with questions,

Kate Field is a retired pharmacist and she also brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Deanna Little-Penrod is our resident school teacher and moderator who takes care of her son Mason who suffers with CP. Nicole Nikki who is 35 and has a heart pacemaker also suffers from CP and other challenges yet helps moderate.

Donna Lee Carrol is also a moderator who suffers with pancreatitis and several autoimmune diseases. Another moderator, Bendalyn Ford, has been disabled from pancreatitis and a car wreck yet she visits food banks for food that she distributes to the homeless and takes care of her son who suffers from diabetes. Moderator Laura Whinfrey suffer greatly with CP, takes care of her daughter Rosie and lives in the UK as does Hazel Block, Pastor Scott Meineke moderates the group as well and also has a large prayer group on Facebook called Facebook Pastor.

We also have other medical professionals, nurses mostly, who are members. I think most only listen to who they work with, other nurses and doctors, and so are still sick. I have found that you can have the best information, personal, first hand experience, be healed and pain free but most people will only trust the "conventional white coats" and I am NOT a doctor (M.D., D.O, or GI); I alsp can NOT diagnose any disease or prescribe any course of treatment. I can only tell you what I do. So anyway, they remain sick, get sicker, and, unfortunately, some in the group have died.

Pancreatitis, whether acute or chronic, is a rotten, very painful and often debilitating disease, hard to control, hard to heal. Anyway ...

They are taught, I'm speaking of normal people AND the medical profession, that all people are different and to some extent that is true. God made us all different but our pancreas' are pretty much the same. Women's are a little smaller than men's but on average they are about the size of a "hot dog." about 6 to 8 inches long and 50-125 grams in weight with 91.8 grams being an average. AND ...

Your pancreas and mine (before damage) did the same things. The pancreas produces hormones like insulin and glucogan. It also produces the pancreatic digestive enzymes that are crucial for food digestion. When damaged these functions are often compromised, even destroyed. Thus resulting in the need for insulin and pancreatic enzyme therapy to survive.

That's where the "difference" comes into play. Damage. Damage makes your walk of pain and healing different from mine. The more damage the harder it is to heal and the longer it takes. Yet the two major enemies remain the same. Alcohol and Fat. High fat diets keep the fires of inflammation burning, often to a very high degree. Drinking alcohol after pancreas damage is simply asking for an early, painful death.

Here are some pages you should probably visit:

What Caused My Acute Pancreatitis

This page is extremely important because most doctors only know two causes: gallstones and alcohol. IF they can't pin it down to those two causes then you'll get the "idiopathic" pancreatitis diagnosis which means they don't know the cause and are too lazy to look. It's highly important to actually know the cause so that cause can be addressed, cured if possible or at least hopefully taken out of the picture limiting the chances for more attacks of acute pancreatitis.

Pancreas Healing: 5 Steps to Pancreas Healing After Acute Pancreatitis

The steps you take to heal your pancreas can mean the difference between total healing if you had a mild case or continued attacks that could damage your pancreas enough to where you are a "chronic pancreatitis" sufferer.

Chronic Pancreatitis Diet: A Food Diary Is Necessary

This is an important step especially if you have already been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis or you've been damaged enough to highly suspect you'll have problems down the road. Large amounts of damage or recurrent acute pancreatitis (you keep having acute attacks because nobody has found the actual cause) which will cause damage during each attack make this step necessary. The cool thing about doing your own diary is that you'll create your own personal pancreatitis diet.

Pancreatitis Diet - Diet For Chronic Pancreatitis

A proper pancreatitis diet is extremely important and necessary if you want to be well. If you continue eating a normal American/Western diet you're going to be sick. It's just that simple.

At this point I just want to say thank you for visiting my site. If you like what you see share it on your social media platforms and in your support groups so that maybe someone may be helped.

Ibuprofen For Acute Pancreatitis

Would you like to know how to stop and acute pancreatitis attack? You do it by resolving the inflammation and that takes highly anti-inflammatory drugs and supplements
