Testimonies

From Real People

These testimonies are real. People who have been able to significantly reduce their symptoms or heal their pancreas when they thought there was no hope. There is always hope. Never give up!

I only have a few right now because I don't solicit testimonies. I don't pay for testimonies. Some of these were just mentioned off-the-cuff in my support group. Others were in private messages in which case I asked if I could us them. I used to have hundreds on the site I lost. I'll try to recoup them but for now this is what I have at the moment, there may be others on this blog somewhere, maybe in the comments.

Hi. My name is Eva and I’m from Iceland. I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis 3 years ago. I was suffering from regular attacks but I got painfree days in between. I was careful with my diet and I spent a lot of time trying to find a pattern to minimize the attacks with not much luck. I was told by a doctor in May that I had to take Creon and in June my problems started to get way worse and I was in more pain, more often and had problems with ascites(edema). I was severly gassy and in constant pain with regular worse attacks. I got to a point where I actually did not want to live, this was no life in my opionion and I saw no way out.

About 5 weeks ago I came across your blog after endless research for a solution and information about Creon. I decided to quit taking Creon and follow your guidelines.. Turmeric, Grape seed, vitamin C and Ibuprofen and I stopped eating red meat and stuck to a low fat diet. I am only 5 weeks in, but I have been pain free now for 3 weeks (I had one attack in week two where I amped up my supplements, took ibuprofen and stopped eating and the attack lasted for a few HOURS instead of a few DAYS). I can’t believe how different I feel already and I wanted you to know that this has made me feel hopeful that I can actually have a life worth living. I look forward to see where this takes me, and if I will be able to heal like you (not be cured I know, but healed). I don’t even know how to thank you, you might just have saved my life and how do you thank someone enough for that? God bless you and your kind soul and thank you endlessly for sharing.

No. My first bout of pancreatitis was acute, necrotising, with 2 pseudocysts. I had 2 bouts, then 7 flare ups. I followed the advice of the creator of this site paul miller. It changed things for me, and although after all this I was left with scars and some atrophy in the tail of my pancreas, I am still told I have recurring acute, not yet chronic. I am careful with fat, don't eat red meats or drink alcohol. I live mostly on soups, veg, salad, bread and chicken and white fish. I kept a food diary for 3 years. After 6 months if careful eating, my CT scan was clear of inflammation, the cysts had gone, I was able after a year of care to eat reasonably and put on some weight. Check the admins advice about eating. It was a real help for me.

Hazel Block

I found your blog in 2017 when the mister had his first and so far only, humdinger of an attack. I do believe I was guided to it.
He was still in hospital with infected necrotising pancreatitis (only 3 in 100 pancreatitis patients get this and at least half die on their first attack) no room in ICU, thrown out of hospital (45 miles away) after 15 days. Unable to keep down solids for another 7 weeks. He lost 3 stone/ 42lb as well as 80% of his pancreas
Your blog saved his life
With 20% of his pancreas working, 3c diabetes promised
He followed your food diary advice to the letter and worked out what his body could tolerate . Took the supplements you recommended and I made the old Luddite read your blog (he’s not online) . It was an incredibly stressful time, all the dietitians said ( we saw 4 different ones) was ‘take creon and eat what you want’ … he’s a modified vegan, BUT , with homeopathy, your supplements and his diet.. within 9 months the consultant said ‘the reduction in inflammation is remarkable’ on the other hand 3/4 of my hair fell out - most has since regrown , it was the stress
We’d to spend a kings ransom on dental work, simply so he could chew , as he was blessed with malabsorption as well
As soon as he could chew, he started to regain weight
The hardest part of any chronic illness is accepting life will never be the same , there’s a new ‘normal’ 🖖🖖🖖
I still say Paul you should distill your knowledge into a book. There’s more and more people being diagnosed with pancreatitis, not all are online AND the proceeds could fund your blog/website and be a lasting legacy
Thank you for sharing all your hard won knowledge 🙏🙏
